So, you consider yourself a true music fan? Someone whose iPod holds artists as diverse as the Beatles and Nirvana, or Madonna and Carly Rae Jepsen?

This book contains 24 fun, challenging music trivia puzzles that will test your knowledge of rock and pop songs and artists from the past fifty years. It includes Chained Melodies, Absurdist Lyrics, Scrambles, Classic Rock Blocks, and Musical Murder. Enjoy them on your own, or challenge your friends, family and coworkers!

A sample puzzle:

Don Puma, the host of radio station KILL’s popular “Classic Rock Mondays,” has been found murdered in his booth. Can you help Detective Tinear fit the facts together to catch the killer?

1. The murder weapon was found next to Puma’s body. It was the same as the one mentioned in the last verse of the Eagles classic “Hotel California.” What was the murder weapon?

2. The coroner has determined that the time of death occurred in the afternoon, at the same time as that mentioned in the first verse of the Golden Earring song “Radar Love.” When did Puma die?

3. A reliable witness overheard Puma talking to someone right before the time of death, and he called the killer by name. The killer’s first name is the same as the second name mentioned in Dire Straits’ “Sultans of Swing.” What is the killer’s first name?

4. There is well-known Pink Floyd song that has the exact same title as a well-known Bachman-Turner Overdrive song. Detective Tinear has discovered that the first letter of the second word in the title is the same as the killer’s last initial. What is the killer’s last initial?

5. It turns out Puma was a photography nut, and he managed to take a picture of his killer before he died. Unfortunately, he only got a shot of the killer’s eyes, which are the same color as the eyes in a song title from the 1971 album Who’s Next. What color are the killer’s eyes?

The suspects:

• Scott, the morning DJ, who has an extensive knife collection
• Hannah Green, director of advertising
• Mr. Harrison, promotions director, who was meeting with the station owners from 1 to 3 PM
• George York, the news director, who was meeting with the station owners from 3 to 5 PM
• Martha York, his wife, who has blue eyes
• Harry, the new security guard
• Jenny, the intern from Los Angeles, who has a license to carry a gun
• The cleaning lady, who has hazel eyes

Whodunit?

A great gift for the logic puzzle lover in your life, and FREE now through Christmas!

It’s 1986 and aliens have invaded the small town of Chickenshack, GA. Using only logic, can Agent Neil Chambers determine which of the citizens are really from another planet and save the town, the Earth — and the woman he just might love?

This book contains 47 unique, challenging logic puzzles and solutions, including the world’s first logical jigsaw puzzle.

An excerpt:

“Bring on the next one,” said Neil, feeling confident. “What do you have next, the Elk Lodge and the Chickenshack Historical Society?”

“Don’t get cocky,” said Ashley. “It’s not attractive. As a matter of fact, the next file I have here doesn’t involve any clubs at all, just four humans and two aliens. Both of the aliens are from the same planet.”

“Got it,” said Neil.

“One of the aliens hates rock and roll and loves polka music.”

“We need to send that piece of scum back to Planet Lawrence Welk or wherever he came from,” said Neil.

“For once I agree with you. The other alien loves rock and hates polka, as do most humans, of course. In fact, three of the four humans I’m talking about also love rock and hate polka. The fourth has the same preferences as the first alien.”

“Are you sure the fourth one’s human?”

“Stay with me here. Lyla and Andy are from different planets and have different tastes in music. Maddie and Gracie are from the same planet, but also have different tastes in music. If Lizzie is an alien, so is Duncan. If Duncan likes polka, so does Lizzie. If Duncan is a rocker, so is Andy.”

Neil thought for a minute. “I think – ”

“Wait a second,” Ashley interrupted. “I just figured it out. I didn’t think about it that way before. Never mind, I know who the aliens are.”

Can you spot the aliens?

Just in time for your holiday party!

So you went out with friends and enjoyed a trivia night at a local bar or restaurant. And it was a lot of fun – except for the high-priced drinks, the smoke, the noise, and the questions about topics that you don’t know or care about.

Or maybe you’re just looking for a fun icebreaker at your next party.

Either way, Trivia Night is just what you need! This book contains four complete team trivia games featuring questions on fun pop culture topics, as well as tips from a professional on how to make your game night memorable and exciting for you and your guests.

Sample questions:

Eminem’s hit song “Stan” used a sample from what other song?

Fran Fine was the title character on what ’90s sitcom?

Name the 2006 film that contained this line: “I’m not questioning your powers of observation, I’m merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.”

This book contains 24 fun, challenging puzzles that will test your knowledge of films and actors from the past fifty years. Enjoy them on your own, or challenge your friends, family and coworkers. When I was a cubicle dweller, every Monday morning I would email a puzzle to everyone in the office, awarding a coveted packet of hot cocoa mix to the first solver. Let these puzzles inspire your own Monday Movie Trivia Club!

A sample puzzle:

For each of the six Double Features below, we’ve taken two films and combined both their plots and their titles. Can you figure out the new title based on the twisted plot summary?

Troubled psychologist Bruce Willis counsels… two sisters trying to find love in 19th century England. (5 words)

Cary Elwes must stop his true love from marrying… a monster made from human parts. (5 words)

After arriving in Punxatawney, Pennsylvania, a weatherman finds himself trapped… in a tunnel with no way out, until Sylvester Stallone comes to the rescue. (2 words)

Last summer, I spent a lot of time driving in a car with my two nieces. To entertain ourselves, we’d play games and ask each other riddles.

One day, I brought up the classic “My Aunt Sally” riddle, which they had never heard before (if you’ve never heard it either, don’t worry – it’s the first one in the book!). Once they’d solved it, we started coming up with new variations, many of which are in the pages that follow.

This book contains 24 puzzles to test your skills of observation and logic, and can be enjoyed by kids and adults together.

And, it’s FREE for a limited time, exclusively on Kindle! All we ask is that if you enjoy it, please leave a review on Amazon!
